Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") carefully before using the website, Learning Management System, Institute Management portal, or enrolling in any educational course or program offered by The Geek Institute of Cyber Security ("Geek Institute", "we", "our", or "us").

By accessing our website, creating an account, enrolling in a course, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use our services.

1. Eligibility & Account Registration

  1. Eligibility: You must be at least 16 years of age (or have parental/guardian consent if under 18) to enroll in courses at Geek Institute. Specific programs may have minimum educational prerequisites as indicated on their respective course pages.
  2. Account Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration and enrollment. Impersonation or using false identities or fraudulent identity documents is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate termination without refund.
  3. Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials (Login ID and password). You must notify your branch administrator immediately upon discovering any unauthorized access to your account.
  4. Non-Transferability: Student accounts, access to course materials, examination privileges, and certificates are strictly personal and non-transferable.

2. Course Enrollment, Fees & Payments

  1. Course Admissions: Admission to courses is subject to batch capacity, seat availability, and eligibility verification by the authorized branch.
  2. Fee Structure: Course fees, admission fees, examination fees, and any applicable discounts are clearly specified during enrollment.
  3. Installment Payments: If you opt for installment-based fee payment, installments must be paid on or before their due dates. Failure to pay outstanding installments may result in suspension of attendance, exam eligibility, or document generation privileges until cleared.
  4. Payment Processing: Online transactions are processed securely via third-party payment gateways (Razorpay). Geek Institute is not liable for transaction failures caused by banking networks, insufficient funds, or gateway outages.
  5. Fee Refund & Cancellation Policy:
    • Admission and registration fees are non-refundable.
    • If a student requests to withdraw or is marked as "Left" prior to the start of instruction, refunds (if any) are processed strictly according to branch administrative policies. Once classes commence, course fees are non-refundable.
    • For authorized branch partners, wallet balance debit and refund mechanisms operate according to standard institutional agreements (e.g., standard enrollment deductions and left student wallet credits).

3. Student Code of Conduct & Cyber Security Ethics

Geek Institute provides advanced technical training in Cybersecurity, Ethical Hacking, Web Development, Programming, and Data Science. As a student, you agree to the following code of ethics:

  1. Ethical Use of Knowledge: You agree to use all cybersecurity techniques, penetration testing tools, exploits, scripts, and software learned at Geek Institute solely for lawful, authorized, and defensive educational purposes in isolated lab environments.
  2. Prohibited Activities: You must strictly refrain from:
    • Attempting unauthorized access, penetration testing, DDoS attacks, or vulnerability exploitation against Geek Institute's infrastructure, partner systems, or third-party networks without explicit written authorization.
    • Distributing malicious software, keyloggers, ransomware, or engaging in unauthorized surveillance or identity theft.
    • Sharing course resources, lab environments, or exam questions with unauthorized individuals.
  3. Disciplinary Action: Any violation of ethical cybersecurity standards or local cyber laws (including the Information Technology Act, 2000 of India) will result in immediate expulsion, revocation of certificates, permanent blacklisting, and referral to law enforcement authorities.

4. Attendance, Live Classes & Course Resources

  1. Attendance Requirements: Students must maintain regular attendance in scheduled classroom or online sessions to remain eligible for examinations and certificate issuance.
  2. Live Classes: Live interactive sessions hosted on virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Google Meet, Zoom) require active participation, punctuality, and professional decorum. Disruptive behavior will result in removal from the session.
  3. Course Resources: Digital materials, PDF notes, assignment files, and recorded lectures are provided solely for personal educational use. Downloading, mirroring, redistributing, or commercializing course materials without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

5. Examinations & Certification Standards

  1. Admit Card Requirement: Students must be issued an official Admit Card with a valid QR code prior to taking any scheduled test or final examination.
  2. Online Exam Rules: During timed online exams (MCQ and MSQ assessments), students must complete their own work without unauthorized aids, browser tampering, or collaboration.
  3. Grading & Passing Marks: Marks are awarded based on institutional scoring standards and published criteria. For Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), partial credit is calculated systematically based on correct selections and penalties for incorrect selections.
  4. Certificate Issuance: Course Completion Certificates, Internship Certificates, and Program Certificates are issued only to students who successfully fulfill all attendance requirements, clear passing criteria, and settle all outstanding fee dues.
  5. Public Verification: All issued certificates carry a unique, tamper-proof serial number and QR code verifiable on our public verification portal (/verify). Geek Institute reserves the right to revoke any certificate found to have been obtained through malpractice or fraudulent means.
